Magazine making one from scratch

Today in class we had to add more things into the Magazine

Magazine replica continued

Today I went back to the magazine replica and change the top bit into a proper rectangle now because before it wasn't really like the shape I wanted and there wasn't a way that I know to change it into a rectangle with a curve a the bottom so i just changed it to a rectangle.

Taking pictures

Today everyone had to take pictures to practice using a camera and how to take pictures from different angles and to see if the picture is overexposed or underexposed and learn how to change it, most of the camera shots were medium shots or medium close up.

There are different types of nationality in the class so people will have different skin color so I had to change the camera so it won't be overexposed or underexposed.

Camera Terms

I learn new words today underexposed, overexposed, Depth of field and a medium close up.


Underexposed=to dark background and can't really see face of person.


Overexposed=too bright background.


Depth of field=focus on target so the background will become blur but the target won't become blur.


Medium close up= shoulder to head shot, you can only see the persons head to shoulders on below.

Layout of magazine

Today I made layout for my magazine so I know what my magazine cover will have on and here's a picture of the magazine layout.

Idea titles for magazine

Today we have to come up with three titles for my magazine but I only have two ideas for it the two below.

Success only a page away
I think this title is good for a magazine title because it gets the teenagers attention because they would want success and if they turn the page they will know the answer to become successful in life so that will get their attention.

Focus
This is a good title name because teenagers that are students need to focus in school, collage, sixth form and university because they want to achieve and through focus they can so focus is important for them to have in life because in collage, sixth form and university you have to be very focus and independent.

Questionnaire review

Today I looked questionnaire to see what I could improve in it and I realise that I made a spelling mistake I spelled hobbies with "hoobies" and now I need to change that because it looks unprofessional that I spelled it wrong and I changed to hobbies.

Today in we looked at magazines from a school for girls called phoenix and we looked at the content of it and the front page of it to give us ideas about what to do in put magazine .

Magazine replica with words

Today I done this in class from what I did last lesson on Monday and I add the text boxes and squares on to it so it kinda looks like the magazine that I copy. I need to make the top bit look like a square with the sharp points curved so it looks like it more I hope in future I can learn how to do that.

Magazine replica

Today I made this in class because its part of the practice of how to make a magazine. This picture shows that I have made the layout of a magazine that I traced by using tracing paper and put it on Abode inDesign, the line shows the layout of the magazine.

Introduction
